This is a simple two ingredients hot honey recipe that comes together in less than 5 minutes and is perfect to drizzle over fried chicken, ham and biscuits or even add to your grilled pizza.
This recipe gives sous vide bacon another layer of flavor when you serve it for breakfast. Set out a small bowl of hot honey when you make fried goat cheese or add it to your charcuterie and cheese board. The uses for this easy spicy honey recipe are almost endless.
I just had a realization that next time I am not feeling 100% I need to squeeze some of this spicy sweet honey to my Starbucks medicine ball. Kick up the heat!
✨ Here is why this recipe is amazing:
- Two simple ingredients and 5 minutes is all it takes!
- While visiting the Orlando location of the Maple Street Biscuit Company I asked the manager on duty about the homemade hot honey. He shared THIS hot honey recipe with me.
- Switch out the Louisiana hot sauce for your favorite to make your own version of this copycat recipe.
🍯 Ingredients needed:
- Honey - get local honey if you are able to find it.
- Louisiana hot sauce - switch out to your favorite brand if this is not available in your area but this is what the Maple Street Biscuit co people told me.

🥄 How to make this recipe

- Stir together until fully incorporated.
- Store in a closed container.
❄️ Storage Tips
For best results store the infused honey in a squeeze bottle at room temperature. Refrigeration is not required.
👩🍳 Chef tip:
To reheat the honey in the cold winter months, place the bottle of hot honey in a small saucepan of water and warm the honey in the saucepan over medium heat until the honey becomes more fluid.
Why don't you heat the honey?
There is no need to heat the honey as you may see in other recipes. The heat will damage the healthy properties of the honey.
