I think that’s true of Torbin and Sol, but Indarra wasn’t overly emotional. Neither was Jecki and Yord was intentionally over the top trying to be detached.

Vernestrah even warns Sol about having his judgement clouded.

Indarra

Was co*cky in the 1st episode and her arrogance(emotion) is what got her killed.

quote:
Jecki

Truly acted her age. Did not show wisdom and was concerned about making friends.

quote:
Vernestrah even warns Sol about having his judgement clouded

Yes but also concerned regarding the image of the Order. Instead of focusing on what needed to be done to protect those in need was more concerned about what those on the outside thought of the Order. Her decisions were based on impatience and deceit as she hid them from the council.

She told Mae she could not win the fight once her light saber was pulled out in the opening scene. She overestimated her ability and underestimated what Mae could or would do. She assumed she was in control of the situation and died because of it to someone in training not yet a Sith.

How did Sol and Indarra know what caused the fire? Here’s a hint, they read the script. This show is trash

Yeah she died because she stopped the knife from
killing the bartender and was distracted

not because she was arrogant.

Inability to multitask, sense the other weapon, sense her intentions, etc,

Falling for the "look over there"?

She is a Jedi Master, she doesn't get a pass for being weak or untrained

“look over there” is different than “this guy will die if you don’t do something”

At some point, you need to accept things need to happen for a show to work.

you gotta see that your nitpicking this point.

So, her telling Mae she could not beat her and assuming she had the situation under control is the normal behavior of a Jedi Master.

I also guess we should be glad that Yoda could multi-task unlike her

LINK

She allowed her arrogance to assume she could win which in turn she ignored her insight to know what her opponent may do.

Exactly and you have to accept the fact that Disney will create whatever without concern if it works based off of canon or EU.

Jedi master is just a term they throw around Willy Nilly now. Tommen can shield against mind control as a padawan yet Cal, a master cannot. Jacki, as a padawan can out fight any Jedi master we’ve seen, it makes no sense.

Do not deflect here as I have never said that. I fail to understand why people do this.

It has been canon up to this point that Jedi with the exception of a very few have been able to control their emotions. Again, her comment in that scene was her telling Mae she could not win. Her arrogance blinded her to the possible outcomes as she was overconfident, she could beat Mae.

and at this point there are thousands of jedi.

It’s just not who stories get told about.

She was trying to get Mae
to stop and reason.

In a fair fight Mae couldn’t win and Indarra didn’t want to have to kill her.

FAQs

As he and Osha made their way to his ship, a creepy looking alien watched them leave. An alien that is almost definitely 100% confirmed as Darth Plagueis, the former Sith master who trained Emperor Palpatine.

Who is the sith at the end of the acolyte? ›

The first season of the Disney+ television series “The Acolyte” ends on a triumphant moment for the Sith. Manny Jacinto's Sith Lord known as the Stranger (or Qimir as he's called before his Sith reveal) has successfully gained a student to teach in all things the dark side.

How did acolyte end? ›

The Jedi, lead by Vernestra, arrive on Brendok moments after Sol dies. They need to get out of there quickly, but Mae made a deal with Qimir. By agreeing to go with Qimir and become his acolyte, Osha can free Mae from her obligation to her former master. She promises to go with him if he lets Mae go.

Was Darth Plagueis in the finale of The Acolyte? ›

But “The Acolyte” achieves balance in the (cameo) force by tucking in a true IYKYK glimpse of a legendary dark lord, too. “Plagueis was always in the finale, in every version,” creator Leslye Headland told IndieWire on an upcoming episode of the Filmmaker Toolkit podcast.

Will Keanu Reeves be in The Acolyte? ›

What's more, Reeves is still not officially attached to the production. So, for now, Keanu Reeves is not in The Acolyte, although it's possible that the Hollywood icon did indeed shoot a cameo that Lucasfilm is keeping under wraps.

Is there going to be a season 2 of Acolyte? ›

Disney+ has not renewed The Acolyte for a second season. However, series showrunner Leslye Headland said there have been “conversations” about continuing the show past season one. When recently asked by Nerdist if she knew whether The Acolyte was getting renewed for a second season, she answered “no.”

Will The Acolyte have Yoda? ›

Summary. Director Hannelle M. Culpepper revealed Lucasfilm hesitated to feature Yoda in The Acolyte season finale, despite showrunner Leslye Headland's insistence. The surprise Jedi Master cameo was a result of Headland's persistence and careful planning to fit into the storyline.

Who was the sith in the cave in The Acolyte? ›

This mysterious figure was Darth Plagueis.

Is The Acolyte that bad? ›

Who is the Jedi in The Acolyte? ›

Lee Jung-jae as Sol: A respected Jedi Master.

Who was the guy in the cave in The Acolyte? ›

Chancellor Palpatine — who, of course, was actually the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, swooped in to fill this gap. He played into Anakin's worst fears, and swore that the only way to save Padme from the unfortunate fate on her horizon was through him.

Who is the creature in the cave in The Acolyte? ›

However, as we see them taking off, a shadowy Muun-like figure emerges from the cave, watching them go. Now, while it's never spelled out in the episode, it seems pretty clear this is the first live-action introduction of Plagueis.

Who is the stranger in The Acolyte? ›

[This story contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Acolyte.]

Manny Jacinto's scene-stealing role as the Stranger on Star Wars: The Acolyte is a revelation for plenty of viewers, but for several weeks now, fans of Michael Schur's The Good Place have been proudly reiterating, “That's the guy we've been telling you about.”

Who was the figure in The Acolyte? ›

Unmarked spoilers ahead.

As hinted at by a similar guttural chorale to the one present in the theme “Palpatine's Teachings” from the opera scene in Revenge of the Sith, this is none other than Darth Plagueis The Wise.
